Classroom Management for the Online Classroom - Section IV

Conducting an online course can be done when you have a good learning management system, such as Moodle (moodle.svps.k12.az.us - Mrs. Fogelson's 8th Grade Social Studies), available.  This website is the perfect set-up for managing the classes and the students. 

By using a Moodle site, I am able to set up each individual lesson, with quizzes, slide presentations and video lessons.  I can also use Moodle to create discussion boards for each group and the project that they are currently working on.  This will allow the students to meet in a monitored area where the teacher is available for comment and help.

Moodle will also allow for the teacher to create quizzes, based on the lessons, and the grades will be in the LMS so that badges can be given to the students.  Moodle will help the teacher to perform several different tasks, monitor students for appropriate behavior, and reward students.
